Pop Quiz, Hot Shot

That's right. I'm talking to you, Todd ... or my other faithful reader. What is the difference (if any) between Providence and Sovereignty? I have a bunch of Systematic Theology books on my shelf right next to me, but I'd rather have a distilled answer ... because right now I'm lazy.

I go to this website, every single day - waiting ... and waiting ...

Today is the big payoff!

IMHO:
They refer to the same concept, but the difference is one of orientation. Sovereignty refers to right and power for God to rule and superintend over events. Providence is God's sovereignty applied to His creation.

I should probably reach for a book or two, but it is my day off and I am a bit lazy as well.

IMHO: That is an excellent distillation ... I'll double check your answer later:o) ...
